Our native seed packs are a great gift for the gardener in your life!
Native plants offer many benefits. Primarily, native plants offer food and shelter to native animals like insects, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds. In many cases animals will eat from the plants themselves (e.g., fruits, leaves, stems, roots, and flowers make tasty snacks to many critters), but plants that support healthy herbivore populations indirectly support predatory animals too.
Most of the plants in our seeds mixes are herbaceous perennials, meaning they grow and flower during the warmer seasons but go dormant during the Winter. Though some perennials may flower in their first year of growth, many require more than a year before reaching maturity.
